There are few people that can mix two of their favourite things together and call it a career but I can. My passion for food, hospitality and education is where I am at my best. Creating, challenging and working across multiple industries is where my interests lie and I get to work with amazing people all the way through from chefs to directors in education.
My expertise is unique to the education industry as I been an apprentice, a sous chef, a head chef and then owning my own successful cafe ensured that I understood what it was like to work my way through the kitchens. Moving into education seemed like a natural fit where I could influence, inspire and motivate people to take their own hospitality and educational path.
Moving into training apprentice chefs, I could easily relate to their needs and wants and be able to guide them in their hospitality careers. I was lucky enough to mentor the TAFE NSW Ultimo Campus Worldskills Team and then again with the Johnsons Club Chef Competition Team.
Currently, I work in the education sector, where I get to play a key role in developing hospitality and business resources for training organisations. These resources are used by learners all over Australia and New Zealand. I am now in a position where I can influence how training and resources are received by learners and understand the challenges trainers and RTO deliver training and education.
To keep my cooking skills active, I have set myself a challenge called #myyearofpasta - so follow along on Instagram!
